First Friday Mass for the month of August was offered by our Manager Rev. Fr. George Pinto on 3rd August, 2018 in St. Anthony Church, Rimjha. The theme of the mass was celebration of Feast of St. John Mary Vianney. The mass was attended by all the catholic students and teachers.
“Patriotism is not short transited out burst of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a life time.” 72nd Independence day was celebrated in our School with great Funfare and Patriotic fervour. The celebration started with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest Mr. Mahendra Kishore Kapoor, followed by the National Anthem. The special assembly was conducted by the students to pay homage to the martyrs. To mark the celebration, an assemblage of events took place ranging from patriotic song to dance.
Needless to emphasize that child’s education is least effective without continual Parents teacher partnership. First Parent Teacher Meeting was held on 12thAugust, 2018. The test papers of Periodic Assessment were shown to the parents and teachers guided them regarding Term I examination Syllabus, Preparation and Time table.
To inculcate the values of social service among the students,Charity activity was organized on 13th &14th August ,2018 by the students of classes IV & V. They visited Nav Jyoti Special School and donated stationary items and sweets for the specially challenged kids. They also presented a short programme for specially challenged children.
Pre-Primary students celebrated mark Independence Day on 14-08-18. A special assembly was conducted for the students. This day had a great importance in every Indian’s life. The tiny tots sang patriotic songs in the reminiscence of the martyrs who fought for our independence and filled patriotism in the air.
Rakhi a festival which cherish the bond between brother and sister was celebrated on 24 August, 2018 by little toddles of KG wing. The children prepared rakhis and sold them to raise charity fund for kerela.
Paragraph writing competition was organized on 11th August, 2018 for the students from grade 6 -12. It is held annually with the objective to provide platform for students to show their writing skills and to give them the liberty to express their views on subject according to their perspective. Nearly 150 students participated in the competition. They were divided into three groups and were given a variety of topics from school experiences competition imagination based on comedy and thrills. The winners of two groups were Group I- 1st –Shreya Kajle(VIII A) Group II-1st –Deepak Yadav(X B)

Aap Se Hai Desh Ki Shaan Hai,Aap Se Hi Desh Ki Maan Hai, Aap Us Desh Ke Phool Ho Yaroon, Jiss Desh Ka Naam Hindustaan Hai. Patriotic songs demonstrate love for one’s country, or have themes that glorify self-sacrifice, land’s beauty, history or ideals. To imbibe patriotic feelings amongst the younger generation, the school organised inter-house and inter class patriotic song competition.The winners of respective groups are- In Inter Class Patriotic Song Competition, Class I B, II D, III C, IV C, and V B bagged first positions in their respective groups. In Inter House Patriotic Song Competition, Green house was the winner in the respective groups.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the school on 4th September 2018. To mark the importance of the country’s most widely spoken language, a weeklong celebration was organized in the school. Which included various competitions like recitation, Poem, composition, Essay writing, Choupai, Bhajan, Doha, poster making etc. On the marked day a Special Assembly on the importance of Hindi and a speech was delivered. Teachers do not influence for a year, but for a lifetime….Teachers day was celebrated with pomp and revelry on 5thSeptember, 2018. The program commenced with the special assembly, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Manager Rev. Father George Pinto and the Principal Mr. Ronald Narayan. A tribute was paid to the great teacher of our nation and the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan by garlanding his portrait. The Student showed their adoration and respect by felicitating their teachers. The day had an emotional and recreational touch. They presented poem, songs, and dance with lots of energy.
With the celebration of Teachers day all the kaleidoscopic activities seized for a month as Term I exam is scheduled from 8th September, 2018. The students are busy in exam preparations. We wish our students All the very best for I Term exam. May you come up with the flying colours.
